LRC newest program, Introduction to Racing, is for kids age 7-12 at the Loveland Valley Ski Area on Sundays, Jan. 31st, Feb. 7th, 14th, 28th, March 7th and 28th from 10am to 3pm with a lunch break. Kids will ski with certified ski coach Zach DiUbaldo and must be able to ski a blue run and ride the chair lift independently. Ski racing provides a solid background in ski fundamentals that is fun and can be applied anywhere on the mountain. Don't tell the kids but they will be learning stance, balance, edging, pressure and dynamic movement. All they know is that they are just having fun skiing gates, bumps, jumps and steeps. Watch out parents - there a good chance your kids will be able to keep up with you, if not out ski you after participating in this program. $300 for the training, and lift tickets and equipment is available through Loveland Ski Areas at an additional cost.
